The sheep have been free of Icelandic mountains all summer, but now have farmers run sheep down in the countryside on their good horses. Some sheep go in the house during the winter, but others go to slaughter server.

It not be easy in the old day's to fishing from Eyrarbakki. Big surf and stormy weather make many times a broblem to the shipping company and many times them ship run aground.

Last summer, in pictures

In June was held the summer festival and the population took part in the joy. On the large fire and old and young sang several old anthem and dance with fire.

The National Day was made a lot of fun and the children got to ride a beautiful Icelandic horses.

On 29th May not be a good day at Eyrarbakki. We got the 6.5 earthquake and many many smaller by earthquakes. Fortunately, no one hurt and no houses collapsed, many damaged, some very, other small and some damaged nothing. All get added damage from the state. People, however, was much afraid of the earthquake. Everyone knew, however, that earthquake would come someday.

In the entire winter, we enjoyed the great surf sound, which for us is soothing music that's easy to sleep with a dark winter evening. Now the great surf said bye and we have to wait until the next fall to watch the big waves and listen to the great music.

This amazon is Icelandic soldier. She is from our village and has worked for peace in war country. Her father is a pastor and her mother is a nurse. The people of village are very proud to have the one female soldier in Iceland.

Bloger Eyrarbakki News went to visit Helsinki and studied include the old but beautiful church. Since the restaurant was reviewed in Cuckoo cosca and eat good food.
