The Christmas tree was lit in the Christmas village in Eyrarbakki at 6pm tonight. Christmas songs were played and carols were sung. The first Santa's elfs of this Christmas were seen hanging around the and made everyone feel happy. When asked, they said their names were Lightstaring and Branchesfeeler There was a lot about parents and children.

Grindavík is now a ghost town.
The residents of Grindavík, who all had to leave town, have not been allowed to return home, even though earthquakes have almost stopped and there have been no volcanic eruptions.
Many houses in the town are unusable and much of the infrastructure is damaged. The houses that are intact are worthless as the town is in a defined danger zone.
Many of the residents are therefore left with expensive mortgages but worthless property.
